Timeblock

Time block planner

A time block planner that fills in the clock for you

Most people time block by hand — a new page each morning, a row per task, timestamps typed one at a time. Timeblock does the arithmetic: one start time, a duration per task, and your whole day is blocked out with breaks between each slot.

How time blocking works here

1. List today's tasks

Type the work you want to get done. No timestamps, no toggles, no manual table to maintain.

2. Give each block a duration

Set the start time of the first block and how many minutes each task should take.

3. Blocks chain themselves

Each block starts when the previous one ends, plus the break length you configured in settings. Times are fixed once created and re-chain when you drag, edit or extend a block.

4. Get reminded, then roll over

Push reminders fire before a block ends. Anything unfinished moves to tomorrow automatically unless you switch rollover off for that task.

Time blocking questions

What is a time block planner?
A time block planner assigns every task on your list a specific start and end time instead of leaving it as an open checkbox. Rather than deciding what to do next all day, you decide once and then work the blocks.
How is this different from a to-do list?
A to-do list tells you what to do; a time block planner tells you when. Timeblock keeps the checklist you're used to, but every item carries a real slot in the day and the schedule recalculates when something takes longer than planned.
What happens when a block overruns?
Edit the duration or end time and every following block shifts by the same amount. If the day runs out, unfinished tasks roll into tomorrow.
Is it free?
Yes — daily time blocking, rollover, reminders and insights are free. Paid plans add AI planning chat, long-term goals and integrations.
